An artist’s impression of a new house proposed for a sensitive site in Belsize Park, London.
The site is located in a popular residential area in north west London with many Victorian and Edwardian houses set off tree lined roads. The house has taken influences from the local Regency architecture.
The new house is designed in the ‘arts and crafts’ style by Adam Architecture, one of the UK’s leading architects.
The client commissioned Charles Roberts Studios to produce two artist’s impressions to illustrate the project. One of the front of the house and the other of the rear garden. The deadline for delivery of the artist’s impressions was very short but working closely with client, we completed the artist’s impressions in under a fortnight.
The challenge was the making convincing materials that would make a realistic visualisation. The design required hand made bricks and a traditional lime render. We created the textures and materials using our proprietary software.
We are particularly proud of the panel of decorative scroll work on the right hand bay and the stone colonnade used in the rear image. For the garden design we also created the Edwin Lutyens inspired bench that can be seen in the foreground.
