A CGI (computer generated image)created by our studio of a new house being built in the New Forest. The house is situated in the National Park and this meant there were many planning issues to resolved due to the sensitive nature of the site.
Traditional materials such as Michelmersh brick, oak detailing and hand made roof tiles were used in the construction as well as beautiful lead work.
Working from hand drawn architects plans the CGI model was created on our systems using our proprietary software. A number of point of views were generated for the client to choose from. Once te preferred viewpoint was selected we then added materials to the CGI. These originated from photographs of the actual materials many of which were already in our comprehensive library created over the last 20 years.
Once the materials were added the CGI went into post production. This involved placing the model in a landscape and adding a HDRi (High-dynamic-range imaging) sky. Final tweaks were done to the image and the CGI was ready for inclusion in the planning application pack. Later it was used to help prospective purchaser visualise the proposed house in its marketing.
